<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
It's been a good long while since I've updated here. The fact is the product side of the business has been very busy, which isn't a bad thing, but it's spread me a little thinner than I would have liked. But I have to admit that as much fun as it's been making products, I do miss this part of the job. So I've made a decision to be a lot more active than I have been recently on the blog. Probably not as active as I was before, but definitely active.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
I first started this site as a beauty blog. That definitely morphed into a beauty/lifestyle blog and now I'd like it to morph into something a bit more local. I've always done restaurant reviews in the past but I'd really love to delve into my local Orlando community. Over the past couple of years I've watched my community grow into something really special, and though I've captured some of it on my Instagram, I feel the need to expand.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
So first thing's first is separating the blog from the store. There's still going to be a link up at the top where you can find the store but it will no longer be called Lipsticks & Nail Polish. The store is officially changed its name to The Black Lab Soapery. Its a little closer to the heart and gives me an easy way to separate the two. Plus, I love the name.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
I'd really love to thank you all for sticking with me through all of these changes and all of my absences. I can't necessarily promise that it won't happen, but I can promise I will always come back.</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: left;">
Love you guys,</div>
<div style="text-align: left;">

<br />
It's been way over a month since I've updated and the reasons for my absence were a plenty but necessary. I was involved in a charity fundraiser called Shampooch!, which helped raise over $16,000 for a local dog rescue. As you all know, dogs own a huge chunk of my heart and helping them find good homes will always be a cause I go all in for. It was a beautiful experience, one I can't wait to be a part of for many years to come.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgV_feGyqPRtDp93DgI2WabDzu_cFMW6ZcF_lr3EZtZytbUB5qLqW1GSKVdWRIJAfV6uV5297AKyqCOgiiIg8frIHSvj4fsGdX69fhY-XsWPa8R4pFOOKA2nkNldNR-gt-ZANAnDJW5giRP/s1600/Mani+Bomb-Calavera.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgV_feGyqPRtDp93DgI2WabDzu_cFMW6ZcF_lr3EZtZytbUB5qLqW1GSKVdWRIJAfV6uV5297AKyqCOgiiIg8frIHSvj4fsGdX69fhY-XsWPa8R4pFOOKA2nkNldNR-gt-ZANAnDJW5giRP/s1600/Mani+Bomb-Calavera.jpg" /></a></div>
<br />
The bigger reason was not only was I helping out set up the event, I was also a vendor. Lipsticks & Nail Polish had an amazing day with the help of Michael of course and Wilmarie, my cousin, selling all of our nail goods including some brand spanking new items we'll be rolling out this week. First up we've got our sweet little Mani Bombs. These little suckers pack a punch of oils and color that makes doing your nails just a tad bit more fun.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEidRe7GB0koO7_LiAN10t63oqVPdkunQFbSQQsuWkbKx5XvcRmbswbkEYpzJTRP_HXFPlUL3k5GI5rf6rqR1aKhxWjK5RbAke745GGxIKQOu9HRksajZfcTDHoFvHDjLYGDLS-OW6UIiBXY/s1600/Mani+Bomb-Sundae+Funday-Fruit+Punch-01.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEidRe7GB0koO7_LiAN10t63oqVPdkunQFbSQQsuWkbKx5XvcRmbswbkEYpzJTRP_HXFPlUL3k5GI5rf6rqR1aKhxWjK5RbAke745GGxIKQOu9HRksajZfcTDHoFvHDjLYGDLS-OW6UIiBXY/s1600/Mani+Bomb-Sundae+Funday-Fruit+Punch-01.jpg" /></a></div>
<br />
It all first started with creating a really good oil blend and it's something I've been working on for almost a year now, to be honest. I've mixed different types of oils and really concentrated on a combination that would benefit people like myself that have thinner nail beds and need that little extra oomph of nutrients to help harden and lengthen the nail. The mani bombs shown above are all currently available in the store, just click the tab at the top and it'll take you right to them.<br />
<br />
Thank you all for understanding, now that things have calmed down a bit we should be back to our regularly scheduled program. Love you guys!<br />

Hello my loves! Welcome to another Lip Thrill Thursday! Today I bring to you Younique's Lip Bonbon in Cherry Cobbler. The Lip Bonbon's are tinted lip balms that will help keep your lips nice and moisturized while giving you a nice hint of color.<br />

I will say that this product was sent to me for review. I did not pay for this product but all opinions are my own and honest.<br />
Let's get on with the review!<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<a name='more'></a> <a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhEE4pR1FyjUuAnbaHwHrR0Imea8jKf_Gu8O7TjQxPma_IuOWIuXsPfBqn29FGNJ2rgjRLDny64qWQpiTaCxZgKPq-xIqMzF-804udt0GVqxyF-4JlazBzzRgkhOsS2Tcb1jMqvyYYP7fk/s1600/Younique+Lip+Bonbons-02.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhEE4pR1FyjUuAnbaHwHrR0Imea8jKf_Gu8O7TjQxPma_IuOWIuXsPfBqn29FGNJ2rgjRLDny64qWQpiTaCxZgKPq-xIqMzF-804udt0GVqxyF-4JlazBzzRgkhOsS2Tcb1jMqvyYYP7fk/s1600/Younique+Lip+Bonbons-02.jpg" /></a><br />
This lip tint is a little different from your regular chapstick. Upon first appearance, the packaging isn't your regular plastic packaging, it is much stronger and sturdier, taking on a velvety metallic feel to it. I'll be the first to admit I'm a sucker for packaging and this is probably one of the nicest packaging on a lipstick that I own. It's heavy in the hand and resembles high-end lipstick packaging.<br />
<br />
The liptint also doesn't close with a snap. It twists to lock and unlock, making it difficult for the lid to come off in your purse. Unlike other matte packaged products that I own, this didn't get dirty or scuff when thrown around in my bag, either.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjE37_CGdHLo1eekd0BhLWVe0yyvQyi07xD7SUCbRwGPo0jbTIhwnXhJG5O1YugodiEqvqoI1tA6_9psaeqI2lBBz47Vw38jkpZdez4oOd0mN9igrGt-kNziHhIpZvMuO44ko3pOnoXst8/s1600/Younique+Lip+Bonbons-05.PNG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjE37_CGdHLo1eekd0BhLWVe0yyvQyi07xD7SUCbRwGPo0jbTIhwnXhJG5O1YugodiEqvqoI1tA6_9psaeqI2lBBz47Vw38jkpZdez4oOd0mN9igrGt-kNziHhIpZvMuO44ko3pOnoXst8/s1600/Younique+Lip+Bonbons-05.PNG" /></a></div>
The liptint itself is made of a mixture of sunflower seed, jojoba, prickly pear, coconut oils and peach, pomegranate, and goji berry. It's extremely moisturizing and feels very soft and cushiony feeling on the lips.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjEdTIwpj60SgCocYX7hZw1bpE3U72W4C6YZ9lyjyKhTaIDMp3mJ3UqtMKC8nlFzncxuZYhUEbll_ET3nJYfMmmvCAycgSC7Vn6ixBryV6nxZoIvCRzaRryWKy8279A5qykjeiJp6bu2eo/s1600/Younique+Lip+Bonbons-06.PNG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjEdTIwpj60SgCocYX7hZw1bpE3U72W4C6YZ9lyjyKhTaIDMp3mJ3UqtMKC8nlFzncxuZYhUEbll_ET3nJYfMmmvCAycgSC7Vn6ixBryV6nxZoIvCRzaRryWKy8279A5qykjeiJp6bu2eo/s1600/Younique+Lip+Bonbons-06.PNG" /></a></div>
Because my lips are naturally very pigmented, the color really doesn't show up on me. This was kind of a bummer, not gonna lie. I wish the product was a little more pigmented so that it would be a true tint on me.<br />
<br />
I wore this for a little over a month and I could definitely feel a
difference in my lips. Not only were they moisturized, but they felt
plumper because they were moisturized. Your lips are usually first to
show signs of dehydration and when I don't get enough water or my lips
aren't moisturized, they tend to feel smaller and chapped. Keeping them
properly quenched definitely helped them look and feel plumper. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg9Y1xXUUQSiXb1bgxq4H80JzlFaV7ZKW28tUwDtWBdP63EXbPLambEjoDjrl1g7ABegOQBhFCSQlbargWwO_cl5TU97lvHzg-Gz8IPm5vVRAXrRbdfP1JFg4ikuP8O4zI07fKdDbOMg4Q/s1600/Younique+Lip+Bonbons-07.PNG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg9Y1xXUUQSiXb1bgxq4H80JzlFaV7ZKW28tUwDtWBdP63EXbPLambEjoDjrl1g7ABegOQBhFCSQlbargWwO_cl5TU97lvHzg-Gz8IPm5vVRAXrRbdfP1JFg4ikuP8O4zI07fKdDbOMg4Q/s1600/Younique+Lip+Bonbons-07.PNG" /></a></div>
This is something that I reached for when I wasn't going to be wearing makeup for the day. I used it while I was just lounging at home for the moisture and also when I went out walking at night or on days I didn't wear heavy makeup.<br />
<br />
It's also something that I used while I was prepping myself for makeup. I generally wait 15-20 minutes from when I apply my moisturizer to when I apply my foundation. I like to make sure my serum and moisturizer are absorbed into my skin before I apply the rest of my face. During this time, I used the lip tint to help prep my lips for whatever lipstick I was going to wear that day. It helped keep my lips nice and smooth under my matte liquid lipsticks.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEicZj15ZI4dKfU6JBdHSFHJzYcc7UvjaZysyKUybLej5w82YatXTDLugkrUNrPzhJP0MVDxISuG2IvhILU3bzdQScLc6G41Wz54dYHv45o746wEH-wb3O3oHalv6Tc2OCPXzeytinu2WRw/s1600/Younique+Lip+Bonbons-04.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEicZj15ZI4dKfU6JBdHSFHJzYcc7UvjaZysyKUybLej5w82YatXTDLugkrUNrPzhJP0MVDxISuG2IvhILU3bzdQScLc6G41Wz54dYHv45o746wEH-wb3O3oHalv6Tc2OCPXzeytinu2WRw/s1600/Younique+Lip+Bonbons-04.jpg" /></a></div>
I really enjoyed using this, I just wish it was a little pigmented for those with darker or more pigmented lips. I did find ways to make it work for me, though.<br />
<br />
The Lip Bonbons come in 5 different colors, Chocolate Truffle, Red Velvet Cake, Cherry Cobbler, Raspberry Cheesecake and Vanilla Milkshake, each color priced at $22 or $99 for all five. You can purchase the Lip Bonbons <a href="https://www.youniqueproducts.com/CaraBerry/products/view/US-22302-00#.V6xPFaLXtfA">here</a> and check out all of the other products they have to offer.<br />
<br />
Hope you guys have an amazing weekend! Love you all!<br />

Hello loves! Today I bring you my review on Garnier's new Clearly Brighter skincare line.<br />
<br />
Garnier's new Clearly brighter collection claims that in just a week, your skin will apear brighter and more even toned. It helps correct dark spots, improves skin texture and evens out wrinkles. I've been using this product for about eight weeks now, which should be enough time to notice a difference if there is one.<br />
<br />
I picked up the Clearly Brighter Overnight Leave-On Peel Mask and the Brightening Daily Moisturizer. I have thoughts. These are them.<br />
<br />
<a name='more'></a><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhXMYq1feg3nzpkm53TNb5KdkN_ZIlsD9BHkC9lx1niWpkIC4GHY6DGD3Z9u0hc8ToVZEdgarK4hPvzraXQRHhhoFmax2_ZorNCKVF261zdkO_Zn2zvRyH4jpuu5jofVZck0EMt7IHTvhQ/s1600/Garnier+Clearly+Brighter-02.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhXMYq1feg3nzpkm53TNb5KdkN_ZIlsD9BHkC9lx1niWpkIC4GHY6DGD3Z9u0hc8ToVZEdgarK4hPvzraXQRHhhoFmax2_ZorNCKVF261zdkO_Zn2zvRyH4jpuu5jofVZck0EMt7IHTvhQ/s1600/Garnier+Clearly+Brighter-02.jpg" /></a></div>
Jumping right into this review, I will say that I've used drugstore skincare products before, specifically Garnier products. I never really had a problem with any of them. I have oily to combination-oily skin, and during the summer because of sun exposure I do get dry spots around my nose.<br />
<br />
Starting with the moisturizer, I did not think it was all that moisturizing. I didn't feel that it absorbed much into my skin. It wasn't bad but it wasn't great. I did have issues with breakouts (more about that later) but I don't think it was related to the moisturizer specifically.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjKG-o_tt7STZW_KdGwTBef5pJ_JJGgjloCWMgzkEuzEE3gsEurBiApzKG5vKHlpbINbaFqXO8D_Lcsa6N-mEys_Ten4Rh5eajJ3rHFqKyjJ9NyHkWIb8EPAvOGbJhf0smYyBb9NJko77s/s1600/Garnier+Clearly+Brighter-03.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjKG-o_tt7STZW_KdGwTBef5pJ_JJGgjloCWMgzkEuzEE3gsEurBiApzKG5vKHlpbINbaFqXO8D_Lcsa6N-mEys_Ten4Rh5eajJ3rHFqKyjJ9NyHkWIb8EPAvOGbJhf0smYyBb9NJko77s/s1600/Garnier+Clearly+Brighter-03.jpg" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I used this product for over a month and honestly, didn't notice a
difference in brightness in my skin. I'm going to have to give this
product a thumbs down. I don't have any wrinkles yet so
I can't attest to it smoothing that out but I do have noticeable pores
and it didn't smooth them out at all.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>

Maybe as something light to use on a makeup free day or someone with more combination skin. The peel mask on the other hand, I don't see working at all.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
It's a serum type mask that you're supposed to use before bed and leave on. Why it even mentions peel in the name is beyond me, since I could not get this mask to peel off at all. The consistency is nice and it does have a nice cooling effect to it, but a week into using this I started noticing breakouts. I get breakouts every so often, so I used this only on one side of my face and sure enough, that's the side that kept getting breakouts. I stopped using this about four weeks after because I really couldn't handle any more breakouts.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I know using new products your skin has to adjust to them and sometimes breakouts happen, but four weeks in you shouldn't be experiencing as much as I had been. This also had no affect in terms of skin brightness or a more even skin tone.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhP5VWu-PE4mblyT4ZPHFbdAZmBfrc_Wnu4koiqAebsmATvojDLfBDIeaCaVqvRWrJlC88OpMpjyBE3UZ_lV2lJgaECAYsL09Epx8zGXQJb2rKwxWwF99OseL6Wu9iSD5cnrG3ahtYkVmA/s1600/Garnier+Clearly+Brighter-05.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhP5VWu-PE4mblyT4ZPHFbdAZmBfrc_Wnu4koiqAebsmATvojDLfBDIeaCaVqvRWrJlC88OpMpjyBE3UZ_lV2lJgaECAYsL09Epx8zGXQJb2rKwxWwF99OseL6Wu9iSD5cnrG3ahtYkVmA/s1600/Garnier+Clearly+Brighter-05.jpg" /></a></div>
I would have to say both these products are a hard pass for me. I didn't try the other two products in the line but to be honest, I think I'm good. The moisturizer retails for $14.99 and the mask for $16.99 and is available in most drugstores.<br />
<br />
Hope you guys have an amazing day! Love you all!<br />

It gets ridiculously hot in Florida and finding a hairstyle that;s both fun and won't melt in the heat can be frustrating. Braids have always been a nice summer staple but sometimes you want to jazz it up and Piggybraid buns does just that. It incorporates three hairstyles, braids, buns and pigtails
and not only looks super cute, it keeps your hair up enough to keep you
cool.<br />

<br />
1)Part your hair down the middle, from forehead to the nape of your neck. I have bangs and decided to leave them out but that's completely up to you. You're going to be working one side at a time so use the hair tie to keep the other side out of your way.<br />
<br />
2) Working one side at a time, divide the side into two parts, going from the front of your ear to the top of your head. Once you've got your quarter section, secure the top with a hair tie. Spray your hair with hairspray and brush it through to create a nice sleek hold that will keep all of your hair in place.<br />
<br />
3)This is where it gets a little complicated. You can choose to do a dutch or french style braid, I chose dutch because I feel it looks better with the braid turned out. French works best if you want something a little more subtle. Bend over forward and braid your hair from the back to the front. If this is a little difficult for you, or you have little to no braiding skills, have a friend help you out. All you would do is bend forward and let them have at it<br />
<br />
4)Once the back is secured with a small rubber band, braid the front of your hair in the same style as you did the back. Secure that with another rubber band. This should give you two pigtails on the top of the one side of your head.<br />
<br />
5) If you have longer hair, you don't need to tease your hair as much to create volume. You would just tease the root to add a little lift and wrap your hair into a bun You can tease it a little more depending on how messy or sleek you'd like them to look. If you have shorter hair like myself, tease it all, using hairspray to build the base in order to secure your bun. Use as many bobby pins and hair pins to secure your style.<br />
<br />
6)Repeat steps 3-5 on the other side et voila, you've got a nice pair of piggybraid buns for summer.<br />

On these hot summer days, there's nothing like a refreshing drink to cool you down. For me, it's a frozen pink lemonade. So why not spice up my fingertips with something a little on the fruity side as well. Here's a nice little summer drink inspired mani. It's super similar to the <a href="http://www.lipsticksandnailpolish.com/2016/04/a-little-something-to-quench-your-thirst.html">Lemonade</a> inspired mani I did, with a little more punch to it.<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
As per usual start off with your preferred peel off or latex protective barrier around the skin on your nails. While that's drying, go ahead and apply your base coat and a coat of a white base, just to make your gradient pop. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
When both the nail polish and the peel off barrier has dried, apply a coat of yellow polish to the sponge and then apply a coat of pink, overlapping just a bit. Sponge polish onto mani, overlapping a little more to make sure you have a nice gradient.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
After you've finished applying the colors to your nails, use the clear stamper and a good white polish to stamp the lemons onto your nails, sealing them all in with a thick top coat once they've dried. Use a cleanup brush around the cuticles for easy cleanup.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

Hello my loves and welcome! It's been a smidge longer than when I normally post but I've got a good one to come back with. I've saved up some of my empties from the past six months and have decided to do a semi-annual empties roundup post, some products I love, some I don't but all worth talking about.<br />

<a href="https://www.lushusa.com/Lemony-Flutter/02361,en_US,pd.html"><b>Lush's Lemon Flutter Cuticle Butter:</b></a> I have always had dry hands and fingers and have used Burt's Bees Lemon Cuticle Butter for a couple of years and loved it. About a year ago, I picked this up at Lush and have been using it steadily. I actually like it a lot more than my Burt's Bees balm because since it's a whipped butter, I can use it all over my hand instead of rubbing it only on my cuticles. It absorbs into my skin nicely and leaves behind a very pleasant lemon scent. A definite re-buy, since this is the third tub I purchased. The only downside I see to it is the price. $17.95 is a bit much for the 1.5oz, but since you're not using a lot of it, it will last a good couple months.<br />

When I finally ran out, it wasn't available for purchase yet and I switched to using something that wasn't as good. I forgot about it until I saw it available at Ulta earlier this year and picked it up right away. This product is amazing and I might do an in depth review on it once I get another tube of it. I have visible pores (thanks mom) and my skin can appear textured when I wear a lighter coverage foundation, but this product smooths my skin like no other. It doesn't leave my skin feeling sticky or chalky, and my face feels so soft even after I remove my foundation. The downside? It's $57 for 1oz. But it's so worth it. There's honestly not much on the market that's comparable for me. If you don't have textured skin or visible pores, you can totally get by with skipping this product, but if you do and have a birthday coming up, put this on your wish list.<br />

<a href="http://www.urbandecay.com/all-nighter-long-lasting-makeup-setting-spray-by-urban-decay/356.html"><b>Urban Decay Makeup Setting Spray:</b></a> I've got to be honest and say that I didn't really love this product. I got a sample size of this and maybe I used it wrong, but this left my face feeling sticky and didn't set my makeup. It also didn't seal anything in because after a normal day of wear, my makeup looked exactly how it normally did, but still sticky. I tried using less, spraying from different angles, spraying more, walking into the spray, sitting underneath the spray, I tried everything to make this product work, but it just didn't for me. I got this deluxe sample from Urban Decay, but the price, $30 for 4oz, is actually pretty good. I won't be purchasing it, though.<br />

<b>Calvin Klein CK1 Matte Top Coat:</b> This one I'm actually going to cry over since it's no longer available. Let me first back up and say I bought this three years ago and I finally finished it. Granted, I've tried different matte top coats in between but nothing ever compared to this one. Not only did it not leave little blobs of white chalkiness like my OPI Matte top coat does, but the brush on this polish was always lovely to work with. Unfortunately, CK no longer makes cosmetics. It's a shame because the packaging was lovely and the products were really nice.<br />

<a href="http://www.moyou.us/product/white-nail-polish/"><b>MoYou Nails White Nail Polish:</b></a> There is a huge difference between MoYou Nails USA and MoYou London. MoYou USA sucks. Like all of their products literally suck. I was suckered into purchasing their set which included this product at last year's Premiere Orlando Convention. Long story short, wasn't happy with the kit and this polish is one of the main reasons. It is a very difficult polish to stamp with. it is very pigmented, so it stamps over darker colors which is nice but that's about it. It's very chalky, it dries way too fast and no matter which top coat I used, it would streak and smear. at $7.99 for a bottle, I feel it's way too expensive for what it does or even says it does. Save your money and wait for a MoYou London free shipping sale. Their white polish is much easier to work with and will save you tons of frustration.<br />

<a href="https://www.beccacosmetics.com/ultimate-coverage-complexion-creme-9bf73f.html"><b>Becca Ultimate Coverage Complexion Creme:</b></a> I went to Sephora to get matched when I ran out of my foundation and was matched to maybe 4 foundations after a couple different tries. This happened to be one of them and it was lovely. The coverage was nice and evened out my skintone nicely. It was long lasting but I don't necessarily recommend it for people who aren't used to wearing foundation or don't like the feel of it because this is one foundation that you can feel on your skin. I will say that it was a tad too dark for me during winter and since it was heavier coverage, it became noticeable. I switched it to my contour shade and it worked well. At $44, this is on the pricier side of foundations, but not bad considering you don't need much for full coverage. I don't necessarily repurchase foundation, because I really like trying different things, but this is one that I would repurchase. <br />

<b>Make Up For Ever HD Yellow Primer:</b> I bought this product a year and a half ago at The Makeup Show after a makeup artist recommended I use this under my foundation to even out some redness and make it easier to match foundations. I will say at first, I wasn't really a fan of it because I felt that it made foundations too light for me to use. It also has a perfumey scent to it that I didn't mind but I could understand if it's too much for some people. I then started using this with foundations that were a bit too dark for me, mixing them together and then applying it on and it was very nice that way. I know they recently changed packaging and possibly formulas, but unfortunately I haven't tried that yet and to be completely honest, don't think I'll be repurchasing. Not because it was a bad product, but because it kind of became useless to me.<br />
<br />
That's all she wrote for my semi-annual empties! I'll be back in six or so months with another batch. Love you guys!<br />

Hello lovelies and I bring you another edition of Tech Talk Tuesday. Last week the tech world imploded with nostalgia when Pokemon Go hit. What is Pokemon Go? I asked myself that many times before I dove in head first and decided to download the app.<br />
<br />
I have to admit that I didn't watch the show at all when it first aired. Haven't watched any of the movies. It's not something I was at all familiar with so I don't have that feeling of nostalgia going into it. All of that being said, I can't stop playing this fucking game.<br />
<br />

The point of the game? I have no idea. My fiancee actually did play the game growing up and he's explained the basic concept to me. In the game or the show, you've got Pocket Monsters aka Pokemons that are in the wild.<br />
<br />
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgLNuhyP8kyA9YWf54Osw89GHjMKtzk_AzLR_7AuWY68nuNgbWCUE306fMpdDluM6mSAMX13WcualZkbQJYTonXYHb9gJuoJkLmth6VT-8Yt5TBTSXFuAiNemfVw5yukIK7vhQ1xqcDuck/s1600/IMG_5407.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgLNuhyP8kyA9YWf54Osw89GHjMKtzk_AzLR_7AuWY68nuNgbWCUE306fMpdDluM6mSAMX13WcualZkbQJYTonXYHb9gJuoJkLmth6VT-8Yt5TBTSXFuAiNemfVw5yukIK7vhQ1xqcDuck/s1600/IMG_5407.jpg" /></a>You're goal as a Pokemon trainer is to find different Pokemon and train them to fight in battles for you. Different Pokemon fight in their own individual ways, so it's up to you to choose a Pokemon with particular strengths that will help you beat whichever Pokemon you're battling.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

There are Pokestops, where you can pick up Pokeballs, coins, eggs and other random things you might need, and Gyms, where you put your Pokemon to the test and battle it out to claim said gym after you join a team.<br />
<br />
To be honest, I think the fun is in the catching them. Maybe because I didn't grow up with the game, but it's just been fun walking around my neighborhood looking for these imaginary little creatures.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

Is this game for everyone? Obviously not. But it's worth a try if you like a good scavenger hunt. Plus anything that promotes getting out of the house and actually doing something gets an A+ in my book.<br />

Hello lovelies! Hope you all are having a fabulous week, but thank god it's Friday. Unless you work Saturdays. Then I'm sorry.<br />
<br />
Today I bring you some of my faves for the month of June. These products aren't necessarily new or new to me, but I found myself grabbing for them a lot this month.<br />
<br />
<a name='more'></a><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

Burt's Bees has always been a favorite brand of mine, but their Sensitive skin facial cleansing towelettes have been a must on my list of beauty needs for years. Although I don't necessarily have sensitive skin, I like that this version doesn't leave my face sticky like their original towelettes do.<br />
<br />
I like having these available all the time, so I tend to have them in my purse. I hate wearing makeup when it gets hot like this, but since I have to wear a full face for work, I use the sheets to get off what I can when I get off. These work very nicely and the scent is pretty mild.<br />

I have very dry hair. I am partly to blame for that fact because I have an unhealthy obsession with my flat iron, but genetics do play a part. I've been using Davines products since I've started working at my salon, and I love switching off between Love Smooth, NouNou and Momo. Now that I'm trying to wear my hair more naturally and embrace my curl, I find that Momo is moisturizing enough that it hydrates my hair but won't necessarily weigh it down.<br />

Didn't I just write about this? Yup. I never got the point of shower jellies because I thought it was gimmicky. And to be completely honest it totally is. But it's so much fun. I fell so hard for this gimmick that I bought another little tub of it, even if the first one only lasted 10 days. Whoosh is the only shower jelly that I've tried and the smell is amazing. It's so fresh and citrusy and a total wake up call in the morning. I'm smarter this time around with my second tub. I cut the slab into cubes so I won't waste it as easily. Next time I'll try whipping it. Keep an eye out for this little adventure because there's definitely more to come.<br />

During the summer when I'm a little tanner than normal, I like rocking a white nail. I just love that aesthetic. But anyone who has tried a white polish knows how much of a mother fucker they tend to be. Some are easy to apply but super sheer and patchy, while others have a horrible texture and can look chalky. Funky Fingers Gesso is very easy to apply and goes opaque in 1-2 coats. No patchiness or lumpy texture. It works as a great stamping polish as well and can be used under neons to make them pop a little more. <br />

Going back to what I said about not loving having to wear makeup during the summer heat, an easy way to trick them all is with a super bright lipstick. MAC's Heroine isn't necessarily super bright, but it's a bright enough violet to trick people into thinking you're wearing more makeup than you are. I like pairing this with a nice tinted moisturizer, a little bit of highlighter and some mascara and usually that's it for me. Maybe a little blush if it's a stain.<br />
<br />
That's it for my June faves! Love you guys!<br />

Hello my loves! I'm back after a glorious birthday vacation refreshed and feeling so much better. You know that feeling you get after you get home from a really long day in the hot sweltering sun? You're all sweaty and sticky and gross and you finally get to hop in the shower and cool off.m That smell of your favorite shower gel hits you and everything is OK and you feel so much better. That's exactly how I feel after my little vacation.<br />
<br />
That's actually exactly what I did after coming home from the zoo after a hot day of sight seeing in the Florida sun on my birthday, this past 4th of July. The body wash I grabbed? My beloved Whoosh Shower Jelly from Lush. The problem? I have small hands and rubbing down with the big slab of jelly, especially when it's wiggly, slimy and wet always ends up with the shower jelly falling on the floor. My solution? Cut that shit up.<br />
<br />
<a name='more'></a><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhNdd-wBJ1OxvP927mBw6CaURMMP54bIfiVhfuln7Sb1JI1KdjhlBCL2LjBS86YM78DXBIus48udHOIj8LlcGTVo9NtXDRKzQxK9Nfw76_ET2bLM7rhLt3Jn2i79IV1YTFT1Ggmpe5wSzk/s1600/Lush+Shower+Jelly-02.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhNdd-wBJ1OxvP927mBw6CaURMMP54bIfiVhfuln7Sb1JI1KdjhlBCL2LjBS86YM78DXBIus48udHOIj8LlcGTVo9NtXDRKzQxK9Nfw76_ET2bLM7rhLt3Jn2i79IV1YTFT1Ggmpe5wSzk/s1600/Lush+Shower+Jelly-02.jpg" /></a>I've been using their shower jelly for a little over a month now and although I love the concept (it makes bathing fun again, even just a little) and the smell of Whoosh is amazing, I always struggled to keep a hold onto the jelly and I felt that I was wasting a lot of the product with my mishandling of it. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
After purchasing my second tube, I decided maybe breaking off little chunks of it would be easier and it was, but then I figured why not just cut them all up to begin with, making it easier to retrieve and use. So I did. And it went swimmingly.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjM0wiQWbZkTRDP9XqFBByHWYbZ-jstnq7kAqVJO8BQMVeiY0-EEBEhKeGRo7X1PtGXOfdwyqq6HAbErgkpXr71zm6Es3yp_wUwzwfkRH3Eav-3Jtgxs3dbs2nebwK-EkOne62fmR-pGNU/s1600/Lush+Shower+Jelly-03.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjM0wiQWbZkTRDP9XqFBByHWYbZ-jstnq7kAqVJO8BQMVeiY0-EEBEhKeGRo7X1PtGXOfdwyqq6HAbErgkpXr71zm6Es3yp_wUwzwfkRH3Eav-3Jtgxs3dbs2nebwK-EkOne62fmR-pGNU/s1600/Lush+Shower+Jelly-03.jpg" /></a></div>
First I cut the jelly down the middle vertically. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgqqvVPZE8GFXaPqIllPTfcG0pFptFNgHko8mxRgK3kaE9acEcGROXZfPJB_fIMd15-HBCx7VSfRI6nCSiob2Y7KzpumLKsjwuBJkWtLdd5tB-9f8CZZeSDMKSiDbdOwMTqQxqfUAm-C10/s1600/Lush+Shower+Jelly-04.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgqqvVPZE8GFXaPqIllPTfcG0pFptFNgHko8mxRgK3kaE9acEcGROXZfPJB_fIMd15-HBCx7VSfRI6nCSiob2Y7KzpumLKsjwuBJkWtLdd5tB-9f8CZZeSDMKSiDbdOwMTqQxqfUAm-C10/s1600/Lush+Shower+Jelly-04.jpg" /></a></div>
Then cut each half into four vertical pieces.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgoTDTk4WUD06ZigzCRMinAtqz7xrXjDg1H2q4wdkhqVQ2xAmQ_npL24lzdFVKuDnZpzKVLQYVhkU8W7HKDTg99OOOZq-KqZGFUWSap3mvbGqK6rg1hQ-M2sn9yWimO7brHyUGuF7xPbuM/s1600/Lush+Shower+Jelly-05.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgoTDTk4WUD06ZigzCRMinAtqz7xrXjDg1H2q4wdkhqVQ2xAmQ_npL24lzdFVKuDnZpzKVLQYVhkU8W7HKDTg99OOOZq-KqZGFUWSap3mvbGqK6rg1hQ-M2sn9yWimO7brHyUGuF7xPbuM/s1600/Lush+Shower+Jelly-05.jpg" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Finally, I cut each of those vertical pieces in four horizontally, giving me 32 pieces of jelly per cube. Each little cube lasts a shower, giving me a good lather each time.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhGyE3cvpR6ndIkgifNck7Dx5Y4oSJqv7vfrQiFic05E4AiJn655T78sDa4C5_IGxYnJcw9k2mDIxmLof3YSQfYflsMSDWcYl2GdHa3rC4Kt9ktzwiKltXV39CDyaSqHTh0HmyNLCmwyeo/s1600/Lush+Shower+Jelly-06.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhGyE3cvpR6ndIkgifNck7Dx5Y4oSJqv7vfrQiFic05E4AiJn655T78sDa4C5_IGxYnJcw9k2mDIxmLof3YSQfYflsMSDWcYl2GdHa3rC4Kt9ktzwiKltXV39CDyaSqHTh0HmyNLCmwyeo/s1600/Lush+Shower+Jelly-06.jpg" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
The shower jelly was very easy to chop up and you could probably get away with cutting them smaller but I wouldn't really recommend it, since it would get a little more messy to use then.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Have fun cutting up all of your shower jellies! Love you guys!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">

Hello my loves! Thank you for your patience. After last Sunday's events I needed a bit of a break. But on with the show, I say.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Today I bring you not only a new nail vinyl stencil (link to the right) but also a cute springtime galaxy nail.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I know galaxy nails have been around for years. But I was inspired by spring and cute pastel colors. And Unicorns. Obviously unicorns.</div>

<b>What You Need:</b></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.zoya.com/content/item/Zoya/Zoya-Nail-Polish-Hudson-ZP722.html">Zoya Hudson</a> (or any sparkly lavendar)</div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="https://www.amazon.com/OPI-OZ-Powerful-Lacquer-Bubble/dp/B00BO7COZW?ie=UTF8&*Version*=1&*entries*=0">OPI Don't Burst My Bubble</a> (or any sheer nude)</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Tweezers</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Makeup Sponge Wedge</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.ulta.com/ulta/browse/productDetail.jsp?productId=prod6051231">Seche Vite</a> (or any top coat)<br />
<a href="http://lipsticksnnailpolish.storenvy.com/products/17137395-marks-the-spot">Mark The Spot Nail Vinyl </a></div>
<br />
Usually I start off with a white base, but I wanted a light, translucent feel to the colors so I just used a regular base coat. After it was dry, I picked the corners off of my cosmetics sponge of the wedge and while holding it with the tweezers, I painted on Hudson to the spongy, jagged side. I dabbed that color over the nail, in random spots. I moved onto the next nail and once I was done with all the nails, went back to the first with the same color, going over each nail 3 times for full opacity. Once I was done with the first color I moved on to the next color, repeating this with Dillon, Rebel and Azalea.<br />
<br />
Once my nails were completely dry, I topped it off with Seche Vite top coat. After that dried, I used the Marks The Spot nail vinyl over all nails and painted on OPI's Don't Burst My Bubble. I didn't want to use an opaque white because again, I wanted it to be a little translucent. I took the vinyl off before it was dry and repeated this step to all of my nails. Finally, I topped it off with Leia, to give it a pretty iridescent feel.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjQW75b7aT7y8pKUNJAu4XFxNa3gH6ELu46hkuTMYcsJaAYQmBeJ7sSpvxGskmUVm_ozxavCAdlbL20IHCdtDkkqV5Iz0qEYEUGEDJAHwKVJtlcxFoVWYkhSm3QT-77WMr58L1RwhG80BI/s1600/IMG_5094.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="639" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjQW75b7aT7y8pKUNJAu4XFxNa3gH6ELu46hkuTMYcsJaAYQmBeJ7sSpvxGskmUVm_ozxavCAdlbL20IHCdtDkkqV5Iz0qEYEUGEDJAHwKVJtlcxFoVWYkhSm3QT-77WMr58L1RwhG80BI/s640/IMG_5094.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
I really love the way these turned out. It's a fun way to hop on both the pastel and galaxy nail trend. Please let me know if you try these out! Love you guys!<br />

Around the country, gay pride is being celebrated during the month of June. I wanted to create a simple mani to celebrate, even though Pride isn't celebrated until October here in Orlando. I was going to post the tutorial this week, but then yesterday happened and I couldn't just post a tutorial as if nothing happened.<br />
<br />
So I scrapped this original post and want to send out my love and support to everyone affected by this horrendous crime of hate. Support is needed from around the world, so please help where you can. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg8abDD4pSLHzYQau0IDF_J5CjH2BuvnZHjdf2qio66pmr5lO7hhGSNdFFdGS0cZQmkD1kT7iBpqwb9CeVdwPSD2HkEmxK4A0a2KaTKS9Vc-fJ1gyQ07XVlwo5Aax6dAVaw2wOQs013HlU/s1600/Gay+Pride+Month+Nails-02.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg8abDD4pSLHzYQau0IDF_J5CjH2BuvnZHjdf2qio66pmr5lO7hhGSNdFFdGS0cZQmkD1kT7iBpqwb9CeVdwPSD2HkEmxK4A0a2KaTKS9Vc-fJ1gyQ07XVlwo5Aax6dAVaw2wOQs013HlU/s640/Gay+Pride+Month+Nails-02.JPG" width="638" /></a></div>
If you live in Orlando, please schedule an appointment at <a href="https://www.oneblood.org/donate-now/">One Blood to donate</a>. Seeing almost 1000 people in line to donate yesterday was so overwhelming, but they're going to need more blood in the next couple of days. O negative, O positive and AB plasma types are especially needed. <br />
<br />
For those not in the area, please donate to a <a href="https://www.gofundme.com/2942a444">Go Fund Me page</a> set up for the victims. They're going to need help with hospital bills, etc. At the time of me writing this, over $1 million dollars has been raised, but more is definitely needed.<br />
<br />
Please don't spew hate in regards to what happened here. Don't fight hate with hate. We as a community are full of love. We showed that today. Please continue to love one another.<br />

I am finally reviewing Katy Perry's Katy Kat Matte lipsticks by Covergirl. I bought these at the drugstore after their release, picking up the only four colors left in the display. I'm actually pretty shocked that these sold the way they did because there's so much wrong with them.<br />

Let's talk about the good first. The packaging is pretty cute. The covers are a matte white with simple black lettering on the tube. That being said, these are not staying any type of white in your bag or honestly, even on display. They get dirty so easily.<br />
<br />
The bottom part of the tube displays the name of the color and cute little cat ears. The lipsticks are all super moisturizing and very cushiony on your lips.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh21nQbPId0dty4Zr-yYmMo8J83tvfHKWlk5RkZlvyD_WOz2t0G4qj5iaxcrk1Iyio1v0rgy3k5QA6qh-Drm4yi7QOPXo5ckVYHErqV4LbTImI3gTMX2RFAqPxTYihrANyI4TPqcRqSZzo/s1600/IMG_5125.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh21nQbPId0dty4Zr-yYmMo8J83tvfHKWlk5RkZlvyD_WOz2t0G4qj5iaxcrk1Iyio1v0rgy3k5QA6qh-Drm4yi7QOPXo5ckVYHErqV4LbTImI3gTMX2RFAqPxTYihrANyI4TPqcRqSZzo/s1600/IMG_5125.JPG" /></a></div>
The first real problem I had with the colors is that they weren't really pigmented. They all swatched very sheer and not matte at all. That brings me to my second problem with these lipsticks. If you go to the website, these lipsticks are actually marketed as Demi-Matte. That is not written anywhere on the packaging on the lipsticks themselves or on any of the displays I saw them in. I get that covergirl is trying to jump on the matte hype but releasing a product you are marketing as a matte lipstick and it not being a matte lipstick at all, is shady. I'm not a huge fan of Covergirl cosmetics in general, but I decided to give them a try. I completely regret that I did.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgobEedTgoEM2soObTbveogyLFrQQc82Zq1qhS2B3fMaFoX3j0MTT-YnYNS00crgw0DlIyo3goZ7Hgefv-veEIUATcD23mwm1OZRVcmuhwRY_DQ-j0kMqHk5KoYgz7R8HfqG1DHI3YhnIY/s1600/IMG_5121.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgobEedTgoEM2soObTbveogyLFrQQc82Zq1qhS2B3fMaFoX3j0MTT-YnYNS00crgw0DlIyo3goZ7Hgefv-veEIUATcD23mwm1OZRVcmuhwRY_DQ-j0kMqHk5KoYgz7R8HfqG1DHI3YhnIY/s1600/IMG_5121.JPG" /></a></div>
<b><i>Cat Call</i></b> is a nice pink color which is pretty but not flattering on my skin tone whatsoever. It, like all of the other colors I picked up, is very sheer and settled into the lines of my lips. Since I do have darker lips, the lipstick went on really patchy and translucent, since the lipstick itself isn't really pigmented. Also, very much not matte.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiRPjrlSq-uNjfmMpnEmA2G7pi7i8htUn-LMZeC7-KgonsrI0Ldgd9uW03boRzQgjh7bK8iLngIQhxz0ySHU1_2WkGWVOSxgIZ01cZL6zEureJTBCMrbdFM8R_E2gjWlkhXEhQ6zpAamqw/s1600/IMG_5122.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiRPjrlSq-uNjfmMpnEmA2G7pi7i8htUn-LMZeC7-KgonsrI0Ldgd9uW03boRzQgjh7bK8iLngIQhxz0ySHU1_2WkGWVOSxgIZ01cZL6zEureJTBCMrbdFM8R_E2gjWlkhXEhQ6zpAamqw/s1600/IMG_5122.JPG" /></a></div>
<b><i>Crimson Cat</i></b> is a very nice orange based red that is a little more pigmented than the other colors I picked up and a lot more flattering. This is one of those universal reds that would look good on a multitude of skin tones. It doesn't settle as much as the others and has a soft feel to it. It is also not a matte lipstick.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjUQApITKbWQSK1mHWOWPTQ7BLHtwSVIB1RkAp5zqCFOhs7TC6y2j_87Y1_agUQf_TNmvbccMeNCmTCDv4x1uoK1ji8KRG1ivBHt-qX-AH_gwAg3U6V183epQVQ705nn6XefxpGQmQ632c/s1600/IMG_5123.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjUQApITKbWQSK1mHWOWPTQ7BLHtwSVIB1RkAp5zqCFOhs7TC6y2j_87Y1_agUQf_TNmvbccMeNCmTCDv4x1uoK1ji8KRG1ivBHt-qX-AH_gwAg3U6V183epQVQ705nn6XefxpGQmQ632c/s1600/IMG_5123.JPG" /></a></div>
<i><b>Maroon Meow</b></i> disappointed me the most. I love a good maroon lipstick and this was such a huge let down. I honestly get more pigment from some Jordana's $1.99 lip crayons. It's sheer and creamy but it makes it hard to apply. It also feathers and did I mention it's not matte. At all. Not even a little bit. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhPUEcj-6dO2eD_8fPrVlptxNFNQS9bmQsez2HM6sOvd0qtEczSNIxhw4wFXnsvghj1SFLBRl6Vbo2BhzmY9IlajF8JvZP9gX7YaTQfq97c_xGivIGpTYaAmiMGIpNw9qR3dG8tO4Pd1dg/s1600/IMG_5124.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhPUEcj-6dO2eD_8fPrVlptxNFNQS9bmQsez2HM6sOvd0qtEczSNIxhw4wFXnsvghj1SFLBRl6Vbo2BhzmY9IlajF8JvZP9gX7YaTQfq97c_xGivIGpTYaAmiMGIpNw9qR3dG8tO4Pd1dg/s1600/IMG_5124.JPG" /></a></div>
<i><b>Perry Panther</b></i> is the black color in the collection that Katy actually has on in the display. Once again, the lack of pigment on this makes it difficult to apply. You also can't build up the color because it's very creamy and moves all over the places on your lips if you try and settles into your lip lines. Also, surprise, surprise, this one is also not matte. :/<br />
<br />
I didn't necessarily have high hopes about this collection. I worked in cosmetics retail so I'm very familiar with Covergirl products. The thing that infuriates me is the fact that they want to call these lipsticks matte when they're not at all. It's such a shady thing to do that makes me as a consumer want nothing to do with them as a company.<br />
<br />
Have you tried these lipsticks? If you haven't, what's the most disappointing lip product you've recently purchased? Let me know in the comments section below. Love you guys!<br />

It goes to say that I'd have to change the name of my monthly faves, so I figured I'd keep it simple. I'm also going to mix it up a bit and feature products that are both new or something that I have been going to repeatedly over the month.<br />
<br />
I'll try to feature a variety of products, sometimes hair and skincare as well as the usual makeup and nail products that I predominantly feature. Anything really, that's made my life easier or better within the past month.<br />
<br />
On with my faves!<br />
<br />

The sun is starting to burn down here in bright and beachy Florida,<a href="http://www.lipsticksandnailpolish.com/2013/09/50-shades-of-me-yes-brown-people-tan-too.html"> and I tend to burn really easily</a>. The days I don't wear makeup, I've been slathering on my <a href="http://www.drugstore.com/products/prod.asp?pid=328501&catid=182918">Neutrogena Clear Face Liquid-Lotion Sunscreen in SPF 5</a>5. I love using this because it's one of the only sunscreens that doesn't cause me to break out and also doesn't burn if I sweat and it drips into my eyes.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj4eDnvFx2KJ9TIuPE6CfyIMJhmQrRj4spZ8TouiTRfRJZzH8r62ATB_8e8cQc7JN2cDDv_d6BqYIFziAeHw_BjpjipKGMqP7UWKUJwEg0Tc53eQSjrYqEcVJQT3EVxDHEMzZZOTNV9zE0/s1600/IMG_5071.PNG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj4eDnvFx2KJ9TIuPE6CfyIMJhmQrRj4spZ8TouiTRfRJZzH8r62ATB_8e8cQc7JN2cDDv_d6BqYIFziAeHw_BjpjipKGMqP7UWKUJwEg0Tc53eQSjrYqEcVJQT3EVxDHEMzZZOTNV9zE0/s1600/IMG_5071.PNG" /></a></div>
During the summer months, I prefer a lighter makeup application and this <a href="http://tartecosmetics.com/tarte-item-cheek-stain-true-love?gclid=CjwKEAjwm8-6BRDgnb-Dk96UmRASJADbMycYBn5y93qryg8-NN4XCV6a4-3ZqXKmM7yAcWOyIlYvvxoCKGPw_wcB">Tarte Cheek Stain in True Love</a> is perfect. It really sinks into my skin and makes my blush look so natural. It's a stain, so a heavier hand is required to properly apply to darker skin tones. I usually let it set on my face for a couple of minutes then I blend it into my cheeks. Plus, the jelly like formula of this stain is easier to apply than liquid stains and given the size, it'll last you a long time, even if you're using it on a daily basis.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgLXGtty_cfEOJqsAF2Smp0dMLrjM2YfPkJZ4enKt13N-_6TId8zUVb2n656iRLnH2F_75cKuyxMxI9SJUfvEQOMlPqgTQ1jMbZhfkHu3vvr6R8AJpchwLS4yP5xhebP7GgSwZCu8RBPvQ/s1600/IMG_5072.PNG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgLXGtty_cfEOJqsAF2Smp0dMLrjM2YfPkJZ4enKt13N-_6TId8zUVb2n656iRLnH2F_75cKuyxMxI9SJUfvEQOMlPqgTQ1jMbZhfkHu3vvr6R8AJpchwLS4yP5xhebP7GgSwZCu8RBPvQ/s640/IMG_5072.PNG" width="640" /></a></div>
I love a good summer glow, but my usual Becca highlighter in Champagne Pop is a bit much for a little sheen, especially for those like me with oilier skin. Moonstone has been my fave recently, making my skin look radiant and healthy. I apply it to just the tops of my cheeks and right above my cupid's bow and I'm done.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhArBO-DsJJZMSA243e7BOsZKzC6Z-MaKfHyyLWXESO2E7dt28PF-hLsQF6noGzSfhzxo585xCwXiTvBqQL8nPFggvsL2OJDyoWbJZUscbrQag2c3JWOMOEU2ts0nUtYb_L58P20PThPzI/s1600/IMG_5073.PNG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhArBO-DsJJZMSA243e7BOsZKzC6Z-MaKfHyyLWXESO2E7dt28PF-hLsQF6noGzSfhzxo585xCwXiTvBqQL8nPFggvsL2OJDyoWbJZUscbrQag2c3JWOMOEU2ts0nUtYb_L58P20PThPzI/s1600/IMG_5073.PNG" /></a></div>
No matter what lipstick I'm wearing, I always prep my lips by using Maybelline's Baby Lips balm. I usually use Quenched, which has no color or flavor to it, right before I put on a lipstick or if I'm just hanging around the house. My other favorite flavor, Cherry Me, I use when I go without makeup and just want to keep my lips hydrated. Plus, these little suckers have an SPF of 20. Not super high but enough to keep your lips from burning as long as you reapply.<br />
<br />

I think many of you that read this blog knew this was coming. This has been such a fun summer collection. I've been wearing one if not all of these shades all month long. The colors are all gorgeous and the wear and opacity is so spot in. Cheers to Essie, they really did a phenomenal job.<br />
<br />
That's it for May's Faves! What have been your faves for the month? Let me know! Love you guys!<br />

<br />
Hello my loves! Today I bring you a review on something I bought a while ago. I'm actually lagging on this review because this is the second bottle I've purchased of this. It's that good.<br />
<br />
I'll be honest and say that I've tried a couple of Garnier skin products before and I've been a bit of a fan. They usually work well with my skin-type and
as far as store brands go, they've been ahead of the curve when it comes to new beauty products. I remember they were one of the first store brands to come
out with a BB creme as well as a blurring primer. I think this is one of the first store brand micellar cleansing water, since Bioderma's version came out and became so popular. Is it a dupe? That I don't know, since I've never tried the Bioderma one. Once I do try it out, I'll let you know. In the meantime, I'll stick with Garnier's version. <br />
<br />

<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjb49Yj3WphEvuDr7vkO-IYbYG9pe_PoX2vsFMLPQxuvPFzaVnK6O78hyT3LViq0qjXoLXxPFg3C8UVkwfdp_xzOxAHLw-w1Oj9DtGrgNx6fGrBPpW_4CbBl_6CHuZKLKw2seWMHT-XYz4/s1600/IMG_5039.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjb49Yj3WphEvuDr7vkO-IYbYG9pe_PoX2vsFMLPQxuvPFzaVnK6O78hyT3LViq0qjXoLXxPFg3C8UVkwfdp_xzOxAHLw-w1Oj9DtGrgNx6fGrBPpW_4CbBl_6CHuZKLKw2seWMHT-XYz4/s1600/IMG_5039.jpg" /></a></div>
What is Micellar Water? Micellar water is teeny tiny cleansing oil bubbles (micelles) floating around in soft water. Why is micellar water good for you? Most cleansing agents contain sulfates, which can leave your skin dry. Micellar water is literally made up of oil and water so it's not harsh on your skin, it can leave you refreshed and since it's not too oily, it doesn't leave your face as greasy as other makeup removing products do.<br />
<br />
I wear pretty medium-heavy coverage foundation most days and this took it off with my cleansing towel nicely. I went back over my face with another clean towel and there was no visible makeup residue on it. It left my face feeling a little oilier than normal, but i expected that being that it's an oil. My face has also been a little on the drier side these days and I noticed the dry patches, especially around my nose, go away after using this.<br />
<br />
I would definitely purchase this again, once my second bottle is done. It makes cleaning my face so easy and at $6.99, you really can't beat the price.<br />
<br />
Have you tried any micellar cleansing water? Let me know in the comments below! Love you guys!<br />

Hello my loves! I am going to introduce (yet another) series on this blog called Tech Talk Tuesday, where I talk about some of the technological aspects that makes my life run a little smoother.<br />
<br />
For the past year or so I've been editing most of my pictures for the blog and for personal use on my iPhone. It's so much easier for me to do that. Don't get me wrong, there are some things only Photoshop can fix but when you don't need something crazy and you're looking just to watermark something, Word Swag is definitely my go to.<br />

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I like watermarking my pictures because I feel it helps advertise my blog. I understand some people don't like doing it but for the ones like myself that do, Word Swag is a very easy way to do it. I pick the font and text I like, save my first picture and then I can go back and pick the next picture and have the same font, style and text already lined up so all you have to do is save and go back if you've go more pictures.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
It also allows you to make quotes or text posts very easily, giving you an array of backgrounds to choose from. You can also pick a transparent background, add text, and save. And since files are saved as PNG, when you upload them onto your computer, you can easily change the background or whatever you like to do to edit the picture for the text.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Word
Swag has 48 different font styles to choose from and each font has 5
different version of itself to switch it up. It also has really cool
color schemes for your text, as well as all the colors you can think of.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
The downside to this app is that you do have to pay for it. The upside of the app is that it's only $3.99 and you don't have to pay for a bunch of add-ons in the app once you pay for it. Which is amazing and totally worth it in my opinion. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Hope you all find this first ever Tech Talk Tuesday (say that five times fast) helpful and I love you guys bunches!</div>

<br />
Welcome my loves to part 2 of the Essie Shimmer Brights Collection review. This collection has been a really fun departure for me, in terms of reviewing. I've loved pretty much every color and am excited to wear them all at various points this summer.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhn5D9D47mxCIZVwJih-XIE_Nuieu5UG4O6TYuWIBdddw4hfjX2tfhi6OdmgyjkbedIwM72vEbMvJcq52Vr-CAQeGjXJMrIrFbzX-MlvX1u5f1yyouYC7JWNKeAULjbfKRjLR7sfWu4ods/s1600/IMG_4892.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhn5D9D47mxCIZVwJih-XIE_Nuieu5UG4O6TYuWIBdddw4hfjX2tfhi6OdmgyjkbedIwM72vEbMvJcq52Vr-CAQeGjXJMrIrFbzX-MlvX1u5f1yyouYC7JWNKeAULjbfKRjLR7sfWu4ods/s640/IMG_4892.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
I would actually love to see how you guys rock these colors out so please, tag and hashtag #lipsticksandnailpolish in any looks you create so I can see how much fun you guys have with these polishes. On with the review! <br />
<a name='more'></a><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgpzdqdR2vYNqJTTDunIFHFxdNPw1MuENnToRBIRmIUu1moDX_cbBAzG9WPu2WA5OfIetkgVGQpzfZCJ97A2BXF-MC-fjX4PqoqXBMSlf2UvQOaNabXe8tULGj5uiHfD0uMoEZhow0aILY/s1600/Essie-Shimmer+Brights-05.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="638" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgpzdqdR2vYNqJTTDunIFHFxdNPw1MuENnToRBIRmIUu1moDX_cbBAzG9WPu2WA5OfIetkgVGQpzfZCJ97A2BXF-MC-fjX4PqoqXBMSlf2UvQOaNabXe8tULGj5uiHfD0uMoEZhow0aILY/s640/Essie-Shimmer+Brights-05.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
This super simple vertical gradient was very fun to wear. A little much for regular daytime, but really fun to wear out. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg-ARM39cBGJzaAbgL0-VBvLFMeEcADWhed-f7xq_5T2QiNAw1WjwBBZZOkk0RrDTzEOJKX0yLA6Xye0g9BjtSiRPyF86zKnid3twuTUHC1DApKnvIGtiYdO3uts2xQkaBSxMToBjOJ4q4/s1600/Essie-Shimmer+Brights-All+Hands+on+Deck-01.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="638" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg-ARM39cBGJzaAbgL0-VBvLFMeEcADWhed-f7xq_5T2QiNAw1WjwBBZZOkk0RrDTzEOJKX0yLA6Xye0g9BjtSiRPyF86zKnid3twuTUHC1DApKnvIGtiYdO3uts2xQkaBSxMToBjOJ4q4/s640/Essie-Shimmer+Brights-All+Hands+on+Deck-01.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<i>All Hands on Deck </i>This green is probably the most gorgeous green I have in my collection. The slight gold shimmer is amazing and the emerald just shines on many skin tones. This is my fave of all of the other colors, by far. The formula was a breeze to work with, went opaque in 1-2 thin coats and the wear time was phenomenal, showing no signs of chipping or tip wear while I had it on. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjr86Ev0Y2auw2LBnJM49ru0_e02seqiTU-CKh9COg-gjvqaZxRGe9j6G26YNUjN5mZLLXBZwCCFaAkmHWejlZnFymoqzHRcWIoKz_3ocfg__-XXaGcNtVVFbQ6XEapbLx-pDpjFGrdeMM/s1600/Essie-Shimmer+Brights-All+Hands+on+Deck-02.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjr86Ev0Y2auw2LBnJM49ru0_e02seqiTU-CKh9COg-gjvqaZxRGe9j6G26YNUjN5mZLLXBZwCCFaAkmHWejlZnFymoqzHRcWIoKz_3ocfg__-XXaGcNtVVFbQ6XEapbLx-pDpjFGrdeMM/s640/Essie-Shimmer+Brights-All+Hands+on+Deck-02.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjgbplhea1tX8mFeW353S4r1sPYdp9330Yeskffe4YFK3pghf0hReEgY4tt6Lx9djO2LZe01k6nsnsR4WvSStQeqfhzY__Wy_YW0qqY8V0QsCPnbNyqczKpNdECTD6f8bSH8vj3J8KFLQM/s1600/Essie-Shimmer+Brights-Catch+of+the+Day-01.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="638" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjgbplhea1tX8mFeW353S4r1sPYdp9330Yeskffe4YFK3pghf0hReEgY4tt6Lx9djO2LZe01k6nsnsR4WvSStQeqfhzY__Wy_YW0qqY8V0QsCPnbNyqczKpNdECTD6f8bSH8vj3J8KFLQM/s640/Essie-Shimmer+Brights-Catch+of+the+Day-01.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<i>Catch of the Day</i> is a gorgeous blue color that stains like
a mother-fucker. All blues do, we should know this by now but this one
is gorgeous so it's totally worth it. Formula is great to work with and
goes opaque in 1 - 2 thin coats. This one is weird though because it
dries matte. Doesn't matter in the end because it's fine after a coat of
Seche Vite. Wear time is great for this one, showing no signs of tip
wear or chipping.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhcc3_Y4PLonhQg8WeYjhE0iAoygFHkmvDTpVsuWl5tpnhzJKb14s4wQ_1R5RNSD52DPV9lZa1KhvEQ6hYc8XLgpE8JG4up67kzWraQRhr1o1c0a9TXOEB0x3gEIhJQ1OAMUSDmSazptsE/s1600/Essie-Shimmer+Brights-Catch+of+the+Day-02.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhcc3_Y4PLonhQg8WeYjhE0iAoygFHkmvDTpVsuWl5tpnhzJKb14s4wQ_1R5RNSD52DPV9lZa1KhvEQ6hYc8XLgpE8JG4up67kzWraQRhr1o1c0a9TXOEB0x3gEIhJQ1OAMUSDmSazptsE/s640/Essie-Shimmer+Brights-Catch+of+the+Day-02.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgDh6tHKYl9TJ2iMPwrogosKh-g69AvJnRRFwvA3vYNNKIPFlx1rDI3T3Kp7gc5Vb_bdEd9jkf_ne-ymHC-5nF_hT_YXMwLa6tUCkq07Igzpbv0hrjLDSxEjZXGtYd0hxgDrVrl0mvwR-Q/s1600/Essie-Shimmer+Brights-DJ+on+Board-01.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgDh6tHKYl9TJ2iMPwrogosKh-g69AvJnRRFwvA3vYNNKIPFlx1rDI3T3Kp7gc5Vb_bdEd9jkf_ne-ymHC-5nF_hT_YXMwLa6tUCkq07Igzpbv0hrjLDSxEjZXGtYd0hxgDrVrl0mvwR-Q/s640/Essie-Shimmer+Brights-DJ+on+Board-01.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<i>DJ On Board </i>Is a really pretty violet polish that pops on my skin tone. Like all the other polishes, the formula for this one was really nice. Unlike all the other polishes, I did need a second and even third coat for full opacity. Wear time was also amazing, showing no signs of chipping or tip wear.<br />
<br />

<br />
This collection really was so special. All of the colors were beautiful and most went on in 1-2 coats, dried fast and I had no real problems with any of them. If Essie keeps it up, they might become one of my favorite brands.<br />
<br />
Thanks for tuning in! Love you guys!<br />

Happy National Wine Day! I've got to be honest and say I'm not the biggest fan of wine, but when I tried it in slushie form, I finally got the hype. Being that it's officially National Wine Day, I figured I'd share one of my favorite wine slush recipes to celebrate.<br />
<br />

I know, I know, I promised to post the rest of Essie's Shimmer Brights collection today but it's Wine Day. Everybody should celebrate Wine Day. Plus, it'll be up on Friday, I promise. <br />
<b><br /></b>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
<b>What You Need:</b></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
2 1/2 Cups frozen strawberries</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
2 tablespoons grenadine</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
1 cup white wine</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
2 shots pineapple vodka</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
2 cherries for garnish</div>
<br />
Mix all of those things in a blender, and enjoy! I'm not gonna lie, you don't really need the pineapple vodka, but my spirit animal <a href="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AVlise0Sivo">Queen Sandra Lee</a> would be disappointed if I didn't add a little extra alcohol. Plus, pineapple vodka is ridiculously delicious.<br />
<br />

You can share this since this recipe is enough for two, but it's totally OK if you don't, cause I totally didn't ;/ Hope you have a stellar National Wine Day and celebrate accordingly. Love you guys!<br />

I know it's in the middle of summer and bright nails are my jam, but sometimes a pallet needs to be cleansed. I've been an admirer of baby boomer manis for a minute now, even though I despise your typical pink and white french.<br />

A baby boomer manicure is a simple pink and white or nude and white, but instead of the harsh separation you see with the white tip, it blends it out through gradiation. Basically, it's an ombre french nail. On with the tutorial!<br />

<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjuzn7gxKhSTWoSztMNDV_WSC0E0DG0sSK9BkGHfZ3DlNSehinj9bQRb6XEnCEdPl-o9GXLhpJU1o-xIl8s436umtQKvxzGQe-7JcgYbnupeQE58P5WHm2OqqJ5e5m9Ti6fFCsQkAk5ZHA/s1600/Baby+Boomer-01.PNG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjuzn7gxKhSTWoSztMNDV_WSC0E0DG0sSK9BkGHfZ3DlNSehinj9bQRb6XEnCEdPl-o9GXLhpJU1o-xIl8s436umtQKvxzGQe-7JcgYbnupeQE58P5WHm2OqqJ5e5m9Ti6fFCsQkAk5ZHA/s640/Baby+Boomer-01.PNG" width="640" /></a></div>

<u>What You Need:</u></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">

<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.zoya.com/content/item/Zoya-Nail-Polish-in-Ana.html">Zoya Ana</a> or any Nude base </div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.amazon.com/Orly-Lacquer-Orlon-Fluid-Ounce/dp/B0019QHC5U">Orly Orlon Base Coat </a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.ulta.com/ulta/browse/productDetail.jsp?productId=prod6051231">Seche Vite</a> or top coat of your choice</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.ulta.com/ulta/browse/productDetail.jsp?productId=xlsImpprod5320079">OPI Matte Top Coat</a> (optional)</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Makeup Sponge Wedges</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.target.com/p/e-l-f-concealer-brush/-/A-13958833">E.L.F. concealer brush</a> (for cleanup)</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://www.sallyhansen.com/nails/nail-care/base-top-coat/big-peel-base-coat">Sally Hansen Peel Off Base Coat</a> </div>
<br />
First I started by prepping my nails by using the peel of base coat as a finger protector. While that was drying I applied my base coat. After both have dried, I applied my nude color to most of the nail, excluding the tip. I swiped the tip of the nails with the white color. I did this so I wouldn't have to sponge on so many layers. This also helps the tips stand out a little more so you can work on blurring the middle line with the sponging.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhOiRHX4lL1a0gB5KC198u8LaSZbwUXzWKFIyBfOOSk2Ik8EdAZ3H2pIgYYyNcH-nl0NWWulGZoSwi91RiuRN55DSsU0UKWLJ4BswO9dNuPxzNWxFio1o-MPhjiGVyzNjB42kjpl_XVMYk/s1600/Baby+Boomer-03.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhOiRHX4lL1a0gB5KC198u8LaSZbwUXzWKFIyBfOOSk2Ik8EdAZ3H2pIgYYyNcH-nl0NWWulGZoSwi91RiuRN55DSsU0UKWLJ4BswO9dNuPxzNWxFio1o-MPhjiGVyzNjB42kjpl_XVMYk/s640/Baby+Boomer-03.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
Once the polish was dry, I layered the nude and white colors on a cosmetic wedge sponge and stamped that onto my nail, focusing on moving a little higher and lower so the colors can mix and blur the gradient.<br />
<br />
Once you've got your gradient looking the way you want to, top it off with your favorite top coat. I added a matte coat as well, because I prefer that look, but you can keep your mani glossy.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgxx0Q36DYwWuAGt6F1jCe7KI1KyAtXyr6DRIzVhLDWhIUt5p467cewe3RO8Bg3ikU-sh_dPt9L3ONeSlkMbLuAXFBSvOlX3a24OaoXOBK_16mtCTpNHY8OH46vr7ZU8MpbUDJB26ZfzwY/s1600/Baby+Boomer-05.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgxx0Q36DYwWuAGt6F1jCe7KI1KyAtXyr6DRIzVhLDWhIUt5p467cewe3RO8Bg3ikU-sh_dPt9L3ONeSlkMbLuAXFBSvOlX3a24OaoXOBK_16mtCTpNHY8OH46vr7ZU8MpbUDJB26ZfzwY/s640/Baby+Boomer-05.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
That's it for this tutorial! Hope you guys enjoyed and if you do try the baby boomer mani, please use #lipsticksandnailpolish so I can see your lovely digits! Love you guys!<br />

Do you remember Lola Gets Fit, the series? Well since the name of the blog has changed so has the series. I'm going with Fit Friday because even though the weekend is so close, maybe a little reminder to keep it just a little on the healthier side is needed. That and Fit starts with an F.<br />
<br />
For this first Fit Friday, I bring to you Graze, a subscription box like no other.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh1a9EhyphenhyphenQb6337yt2T0AawkmWmlVuTMg0ISO-oQWqWQ7TcjCOUnD2t_-FX1wZBoPNtf1K-mMbb6_OvFJswopxsWyL6felPE-Rdr3-457w_9TqeIRmGhsUtMmAbEzyYy-XZtpHY4dEsvd9k/s1600/IMG_4903.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="638" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh1a9EhyphenhyphenQb6337yt2T0AawkmWmlVuTMg0ISO-oQWqWQ7TcjCOUnD2t_-FX1wZBoPNtf1K-mMbb6_OvFJswopxsWyL6felPE-Rdr3-457w_9TqeIRmGhsUtMmAbEzyYy-XZtpHY4dEsvd9k/s640/IMG_4903.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
Look, I'll be the first to say I think we've gone a little overboard with the subscription boxes. I had a Birchbox years ago but got over it because I never really used what I was sent. Food however is a different story.<br />
<br />
<a name='more'></a><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhC0YNgHQClBUCiot3SgVoG2fSD-yVDfuGqgrLjARXy7jWy2G_Mrkcp3BrN4Et1G9Zmz_EVKLQHdOOI7kuYq6PXg4MjWiOQCrXuOjHbmsu-e8i9wB9jaNeJVNS4AlxAygVWVdMduOznsc0/s1600/IMG_4881.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="clear: left; float: left; margin-bottom: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhC0YNgHQClBUCiot3SgVoG2fSD-yVDfuGqgrLjARXy7jWy2G_Mrkcp3BrN4Et1G9Zmz_EVKLQHdOOI7kuYq6PXg4MjWiOQCrXuOjHbmsu-e8i9wB9jaNeJVNS4AlxAygVWVdMduOznsc0/s640/IMG_4881.JPG" width="640" /></a><br />
You know that feeling you get smack dab right in the middle of breakfast and lunch? We've all had a case of the hangrys. The coffee's worn off and you need that little extra oomph? More often than not that's when you'd grab donuts or candy or something that isn't all that healthy. Enter Graze. Graze sends you 8 delicious snacks per box, which you can customize to receive weekly, bi-weekly or monthly.<br />
<br />
<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>

<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Greek Yogurt topped with the Mango Coconut Protein Gronola Topper</td></tr>
</tbody></table>
Not only is Graze helping you snack yummier, but it's helping you snack better. All of their snacks are nutritionist approved, with no gmo's, artificial flavor or coloring and no trans fats. A nutrition guide comes with every box, so you know exactly how much calories, proteins, sugars, etc. you're putting into your body. Bonus? Most are under 150 calories. Double Bonus? They're delicious. Triple (Berry) Bonus? They send you what you want and nix what you don't.<br />
<br />
<table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody>
<tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi87lqFBjNoJ81yF13PJ8IgeTUsB8Zr70HxzKS__nTo-7sSJKdg8h3kWJF3znvtNTgrATbO_DjerACQpw8uX_4nxt3vMImOoXzu2E8vXpc-_yg3x3-FRl8yUGP8xIQ3a_dE6ylSXUQQCV8/s1600/IMG_4912.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi87lqFBjNoJ81yF13PJ8IgeTUsB8Zr70HxzKS__nTo-7sSJKdg8h3kWJF3znvtNTgrATbO_DjerACQpw8uX_4nxt3vMImOoXzu2E8vXpc-_yg3x3-FRl8yUGP8xIQ3a_dE6ylSXUQQCV8/s640/IMG_4912.JPG" width="640" /></a></td></tr>
<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Summer Berry Flapjacks + Coffee = a pretty awesome way to start the day</td></tr>

Being that I'm not a fan of raisins or spicy foods, I excluded that from my box. Even though that limits which snacks I get, I'm guaranteed to not get things I won't like. And on some off chance I don't like something they send, it's really easy to log onto their site and go through the contents of your box so that you can Trash, Try, Like or Love something. They won't send you anything you've Trashed and try to send you more of the stuff you Like or Love.<br />
<br />

<br />
Can I just say before I say anything else that I'm not a huge Essie fan. They've always been pretty beige and bland to me. But this collection..... let me take a second..... this collection is life. LIFE. LIIIIIIFE.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi0_D0Sp5Y7zzsm0REm7MO82LSDBtM7swE4sqXFqjyxDMmmUDTZECEqy9vsom2nCaeNtG3prd5scFjTtz3D_98A8BPB88jAHSs54VQfHu4vYpdI40i39TGbE1odOcnCnGJ4rTahTPbWe58/s1600/Essie-Shimmer+Brights-02.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="638" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi0_D0Sp5Y7zzsm0REm7MO82LSDBtM7swE4sqXFqjyxDMmmUDTZECEqy9vsom2nCaeNtG3prd5scFjTtz3D_98A8BPB88jAHSs54VQfHu4vYpdI40i39TGbE1odOcnCnGJ4rTahTPbWe58/s640/Essie-Shimmer+Brights-02.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
If you remember, I wasn't a big fan of their <a href="http://www.lipsticksandnailpolish.com/2016/02/review-essie-resort-collection-2016.html">Resort Collection</a>. It wasn't what I was expecting for a collection based on India. Then I saw the previews for their Summer collection and I died.<br />
<a name='more'></a><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg6xNI53j2X1GiKW2S-vI5idyUp854niQ7LM5Y6YucwkMerzEnefCVU1jLii246zb5OgvAKUENoA28YQaVK-RR0Nsy3ZeCxSHB9nAgrXrVUGv90ErLcHwjwdyGiftsP3EXuvOR-kx_VZF0/s1600/Essie-Shimmer+Brights-04.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg6xNI53j2X1GiKW2S-vI5idyUp854niQ7LM5Y6YucwkMerzEnefCVU1jLii246zb5OgvAKUENoA28YQaVK-RR0Nsy3ZeCxSHB9nAgrXrVUGv90ErLcHwjwdyGiftsP3EXuvOR-kx_VZF0/s640/Essie-Shimmer+Brights-04.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
The shimmer brights collection is a collection of six polishes, all shimmery and bright, like the colors of the rainbow. Like always, I'm going to be splitting this review up into 2 parts since I really like to feel the way the polish wears.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhJ-WGG0vyuMPyD1Gjuih-_mo3W0b-pXF3H9wAu-ncty9MgtOVbEN4SFJGMCWJQYH2tLER_Zc-HZTgN3Dfd2b7M9pNKLDFiTYk1KRYrneLYTMWJ07GgMsTZi4vCZZINfwhWDZEKxJqYCNQ/s1600/Essie-Shimmer+Brights-Seen+on+the+Scene-01.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhJ-WGG0vyuMPyD1Gjuih-_mo3W0b-pXF3H9wAu-ncty9MgtOVbEN4SFJGMCWJQYH2tLER_Zc-HZTgN3Dfd2b7M9pNKLDFiTYk1KRYrneLYTMWJ07GgMsTZi4vCZZINfwhWDZEKxJqYCNQ/s640/Essie-Shimmer+Brights-Seen+on+the+Scene-01.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<i>Seen on the Scene</i> is a very pretty shimmery pink which goes opaque in 1-2 coats. Spoiler alert, all of the polishes in this collection are opaque in 1-2 coats(!!!!!). The formula for this polishes is really nice but it does stain a bit so be careful around the cuticle area. Wear time was really good, showing no signs of chipping or tip wear while I was wearing it.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj-xdXnJSWtj4EiQ5TaccSwOd5X3lpinSGdDpChjtfxcu15QCwX47qmK5uf_dLqcvDDVwo51zAXggl6ZqHfCXUldM0Jhx6C9vWBitdercW0cOhXizg4qqp_kqbdgt1-gr9cxOC16_OVJE8/s1600/Essie-Shimmer+Brights-Seen+on+the+Scene-02.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj-xdXnJSWtj4EiQ5TaccSwOd5X3lpinSGdDpChjtfxcu15QCwX47qmK5uf_dLqcvDDVwo51zAXggl6ZqHfCXUldM0Jhx6C9vWBitdercW0cOhXizg4qqp_kqbdgt1-gr9cxOC16_OVJE8/s640/Essie-Shimmer+Brights-Seen+on+the+Scene-02.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjcHOWRNZ4F9RiZ4IOwBebJFXV9M3uv2ij38sPS5JylOFg5pFqQZ3lvejnE-IF-tWHDDqhdcigI0It9RcnLntz900SKEopFCyMOVisR7Ters8Y1k2lSu4ECD5tXjdD7sy21b2h6tBjNW38/s1600/Essie-Shimmer+Brights-Sexy+Plunge-01.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjcHOWRNZ4F9RiZ4IOwBebJFXV9M3uv2ij38sPS5JylOFg5pFqQZ3lvejnE-IF-tWHDDqhdcigI0It9RcnLntz900SKEopFCyMOVisR7Ters8Y1k2lSu4ECD5tXjdD7sy21b2h6tBjNW38/s640/Essie-Shimmer+Brights-Sexy+Plunge-01.JPG" width="638" /></a></div>
<br />
<i>Sexy Plunge</i> is a beautiful dusty orange with gold shimmer flecks. This is my least favorite of the collection but I still really like it a lot. The color is very vibrant (camera does nothing for it) and application is pretty amazing. Wear time is also awesome, showing no signs of tip wear or chipping through ti's course on my nails.<br />

<br />
<i>Aim to Misbehave</i> is actually Essie's 1000th shade! Congrats! This color really surprised me. Essie doesn't really do colors like this one, and it's actually a good yellow. Color me fucking shocked. The formula was pretty great to work with, going opaque in 1-2 coats. Formula was nice, not goopy or chalky like some other yellows I've used. The shimmer is gorgeous and the wear time is spectacular. Two very enthusiastic thumbs up.<br />

Hello my loves! I'm happy to announce that there are new products in the LNP shop! Throughout the summer, there's going to be a new product released every Monday. If you notice to your right, there's a tab titled New In Store, where you can find all of the new nail stickers, vinyls and decals. So check out the shop (click the Store link above) or click the link to the right to check out all the new nail swag.<br />
<br />
Also, you might notice a little something different about my digits:<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEghvk8hA7D9WI2MdMXOth13ziKOwiSNE7Bsc49pC91vH91FtqT6Es-6euziZJxm3DNCYsJOxP9XhtJkwKGb1jDNvQ-FInEPFpgmZQoyrBC5SuXUUy0im6QjYghTHDmaoYdAQ0R37f775zM/s1600/Nail+Tips-01.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEghvk8hA7D9WI2MdMXOth13ziKOwiSNE7Bsc49pC91vH91FtqT6Es-6euziZJxm3DNCYsJOxP9XhtJkwKGb1jDNvQ-FInEPFpgmZQoyrBC5SuXUUy0im6QjYghTHDmaoYdAQ0R37f775zM/s640/Nail+Tips-01.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
I'm actually trying to practice the nail art (it is part of my profession and all) and I didn't want to throw out some of the designs so I bought some nail tips and have been using them to practice cute designs. <br />
<br />
Love you guys!<br />

<br />
Hello my loves! Today I bring you the last installment of OPI's Alice Through the Looking Glass Collection. As I stated before, I was a little (a lot) underwhelmed with this collection. They're not bad colors but they're all highly dupeable and not all that original.<br />
<br />
Aside from all of that, if you don't have colors like these already in your collection, I do recommend you pick them up. The formula for most of these is pretty amazing.<br />
<br />
But enough of all that let's get on with the review!<br />
<a name='more'></a><br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjkhUU5MQw9dpflrovNSQ89bvIy6cvm__WBAC504JPsFmk5nxNa7l5Y7hsEWilLPErLMbYzVYOfk4_vQtLD5jCiu3AynctmZ7FRR1LJ0ju3z6gzzNZ6KI1lZeIM9HP6-x396_S3m9Q7uuM/s1600/OPI-Alice+Through+the+Looking+Glass-I%2527m+Gown+For+Anything-01.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjkhUU5MQw9dpflrovNSQ89bvIy6cvm__WBAC504JPsFmk5nxNa7l5Y7hsEWilLPErLMbYzVYOfk4_vQtLD5jCiu3AynctmZ7FRR1LJ0ju3z6gzzNZ6KI1lZeIM9HP6-x396_S3m9Q7uuM/s640/OPI-Alice+Through+the+Looking+Glass-I%2527m+Gown+For+Anything-01.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<i>I'm Gown For Anything</i> is a very nice creamy light lilac color. It's very pretty and this is probably one of the only pastel shades that I've ever tried that not only goes pretty opaque in one coat, but isn't streaky at all. Wear time was really good for this one as well, showing no signs of chipping or tip wear by the time I took it off.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgZmm5hDj3MvAeJ8aEpKYl_Xiq2dOqLH22F_dlPKkzhgXxNZRajBKbtZmbbtxpWEWF7vekfYuitg-OqV-wbPt7j1hq0ZwRn0-loEXv0X5mNtTpDhZrnr5U129Uv3Ym9B7NDJthBDQwh2B0/s1600/OPI-Alice+Through+the+Looking+Glass-I%2527m+Gown+For+Anything-02.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgZmm5hDj3MvAeJ8aEpKYl_Xiq2dOqLH22F_dlPKkzhgXxNZRajBKbtZmbbtxpWEWF7vekfYuitg-OqV-wbPt7j1hq0ZwRn0-loEXv0X5mNtTpDhZrnr5U129Uv3Ym9B7NDJthBDQwh2B0/s640/OPI-Alice+Through+the+Looking+Glass-I%2527m+Gown+For+Anything-02.JPG" width="638" /></a></div>

<br />
<i>Mad For Madness Sake</i> is a pretty typical fuchsia creme color. The formula is very nice and goes opaque in 1-2 coats. Wear time is again nice, showing a bit of tip wear but no chipping by the time I took this off. <br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhqBr3y2OcHIj7ZVD4hSFuDMpNjrv_y0lKb95jb-262-ljBpE2LGemUwgoPI1KN4bSXIfgx4klFXEAnecf3D4SPOK0-Lk8Ue9_k4mpB9tHQjfto0lsWkNK6uIbLA6bk7W9BP4Z7_tdO_os/s1600/OPI-Alice+Through+the+Looking+Glass-Mad+for+Madness+Sake-02.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhqBr3y2OcHIj7ZVD4hSFuDMpNjrv_y0lKb95jb-262-ljBpE2LGemUwgoPI1KN4bSXIfgx4klFXEAnecf3D4SPOK0-Lk8Ue9_k4mpB9tHQjfto0lsWkNK6uIbLA6bk7W9BP4Z7_tdO_os/s640/OPI-Alice+Through+the+Looking+Glass-Mad+for+Madness+Sake-02.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjn0SgzWDie4KadrSisMatQZPYA7yKv9zrlDZlVpOGGJbuLrYulOICg6UpdT2_QSfwH2hUQOrT2trEqQ-OjIyjhi4oqu2J4qCzf2Y7cER7kAx112LaOSY9_9VZ9-y74hm-Ahp4McEo_890/s1600/OPI-Alice+Through+the+Looking+Glass-The+I%2527s+Have+It-01.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjn0SgzWDie4KadrSisMatQZPYA7yKv9zrlDZlVpOGGJbuLrYulOICg6UpdT2_QSfwH2hUQOrT2trEqQ-OjIyjhi4oqu2J4qCzf2Y7cER7kAx112LaOSY9_9VZ9-y74hm-Ahp4McEo_890/s640/OPI-Alice+Through+the+Looking+Glass-The+I%2527s+Have+It-01.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<i>The I's Have It</i> is a super pretty, soft powder blue color. It goes opaque in 1-2 coats. It's a bit streaky but nothing too unmanageable. This one did show a little signs of chipping but nothing insane.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
<i>What's The Hatter With You</i> is a very rich burgundy berry color. This is another one that's super dupeable. It is also very pigmented; goes opaque in 1-2 coats but unlike the others, this one stains like a mother fucker. Cleanup was a chore and although it is a very pretty color, I'm sure you can find something similar that wasn't this much of a pain. Wear time was great but again, not worth the hassle.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
Thank you, <a href="http://www.zoya.com/">Zoya</a>, for providing amazing Earth Day sales for me to expand my polish collection. I picked up 31 polishes during the sale, which actually is a lot less than I originally thought I was going to get so that's a plus, right?<br />
<br />
I have to say that 10 of my polishes were broken during shipping. Thank god for Zoya's amazing customer service. I got replacement polishes in less than a week, which is amazing. <br />

Given that Zoya is probably my favorite brand of polishes, I already own quite a lot of them. I didn't really need anything from their existing stock, I wanted to focus on some of the new collections that I didn't have. Because I tend to buy whole collections, I usually wait for a beauty show or their Earth Day sale to purchase the polishes. The four collections I picked up were. Focus (pictured above)<br />

<br /></div>
Hola my loves! Hope you had a festive Cinco de Mayo! And if you did, hope you have today off! Today I bring you another flashback on this Friday, <a href="http://www.lipsticksandnailpolish.com/2013/02/review-mac-comic-cute.html">MAC's Comic Cute</a>. I got this polish during <a href="http://www.lipsticksandnailpolish.com/2013/02/mac-archie-girls-launch.html">MAC's Archie Girls launch</a>.<br />
<br />
From the jump, I didn't really like the formula. It was thin and streaky and I needed 4 coats to get true opacity. I put this polish away because it was a little frustrating to work with. Three years later, I tried it again.<br />
<a name='more'></a><br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjU27PTfwzRA74C9Fz4FlGyqmED0jAXKeihAsgES4uV9o0DxqlyOW1m77r1n4ZAxtlp0aFXM56bkpLhl4hOZgvofxqDL7nhkhyIhZaq_TXo00xNym5fSnEIOSZ8RZ7lVnUf02aPWoKpSbI/s1600/MAC-Comic+Cute-02.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjU27PTfwzRA74C9Fz4FlGyqmED0jAXKeihAsgES4uV9o0DxqlyOW1m77r1n4ZAxtlp0aFXM56bkpLhl4hOZgvofxqDL7nhkhyIhZaq_TXo00xNym5fSnEIOSZ8RZ7lVnUf02aPWoKpSbI/s640/MAC-Comic+Cute-02.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
I love MAC when it comes to makeup. They've always had a stellar color range for all skin tones and the quality of the products are usually top knotch. Except for when it comes to their nail polishes. I love some of the colors but the formula has always been kind of shit and way overpriced for what it is.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: left;">
Comic Cute is a really pretty corall-y pink creme that, three years later, still needs 4 coats to become opaque. It is a very thin polish that goes on very streaky. Wear time was OK, peeled off after a couple of days. </div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjd3FrY33KlsfILblImIJWJTeyiwEfXJU5lAAS4mpCwwpfLC9cD4odHmcwz2SKAo6URE0zj06Pe1cQ-NC9A-Rgq-nrWYAOm-Gh1rMbqhw6ZWssUtphfym21fj-GBGpHGzOGV-HL5DbnSV8/s1600/MAC-Comic+Cute-04.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjd3FrY33KlsfILblImIJWJTeyiwEfXJU5lAAS4mpCwwpfLC9cD4odHmcwz2SKAo6URE0zj06Pe1cQ-NC9A-Rgq-nrWYAOm-Gh1rMbqhw6ZWssUtphfym21fj-GBGpHGzOGV-HL5DbnSV8/s640/MAC-Comic+Cute-04.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
This is going back on the shelf for me. The color, although really pretty and beautiful under a floral stamp, isn't really worth the hassle.<br />
<br />
Love you guys!<br />
